David C. Johnson
Dave Johnson is a litigator and bankruptcy attorney with wide experience in a diverse range of complex civil matters in federal and state courts as well as arbitration and mediation. Specializing in shareholder and corporate governance disputes, Dave has focused on complex commercial litigation, real estate litigation and construction litigation. He has also been involved in all aspects of debtor and creditor practice in bankruptcy court, with experience in matters ranging from Chapter 7 liquidation cases to complex, commercial Chapter 11 reorganization cases. Dave has argued matters for clients in many different venues including the First Circuit Court of Appeals.
With a broad base of experience complemented by particular expertise in problems that commonly arise in the business and commercial context, Dave has helped clients manage disputes and navigate the court system with outcomes ranging from pretrial settlement to resolution on appeal.
Dave’s legal career began in Boston, Massachusetts, and brought him to a large Portland firm, where he practiced most recently before joining Marcus Clegg in 2005.
