Claudia D. Raessler
Claudia focuses her practice on non-profit organizations and public funding. She provides our tax-exempt clients with a breadth of legal advice and knowledge as well as coordinating resources for collaborations, joint ventures, and other corporate structuring strategies. From start-up concerns all the way through dissolution, Claudia has worked extensively with the needs of non-profits. Her ability to accommodate a wide-range of organizations, oversee collaborations from joint ventures to mergers, as well as supply clients with practical and constructive counsel on general business activity has made Claudia an invaluable asset to both the firm and the organizations she represents.
Some of Claudia’s recent projects include: structuring a new governance relationship between a Maine and a New Hampshire non-profit, drafting an advisory overview regarding the use of low-profit limited liability companies in a community based improvement project, and a restructuring project for the reclassification of a non-profit’s public charity status. Claudia is a member of the Maine State Bar Association, American Agricultural Law Association, Tidewater Conservation Foundation, Board of Directors and Alpaca & Breeders Association, Board of Directors.
